Adult Swim’s non-DOOM singles campaign rages on with a loosie from the Brooklyn-based artist
Between Rick & Morty, MF DOOM and Dragon Ball Super, Adult Swim has all the eyes and ears it could hope for.
The late-night animation block has been home to subversive sights and sounds for the better part of two decades now, even leading extensive seasonal singles series that have premiered new music from Flying Lotus, Earl Sweatshirt, Knxwledge and the aforementioned rap-game super villain.
This year they’ve expanded the program to a year-long campaign, and doubled-down with DOOM on a separate 15-week-long roll-out of his new project, The Missing Notebook Rhymes. The 2017 edition of the series has unveiled new music from Helado Negro, Ducky, Zaytoven and others. And today, they share a track from the one and only Oddisee, who’s spent much of the year on the road in support of his 2017 project, The Iceberg. “Never Lived” finds The Odd One in an introspective mood, waxing nostalgic over a buoyant mid-tempo beat.
