Wu-Tang Clan is as busy as they’ve ever been. Even without a 2018 album, the collective is celebrating 25 years since Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) in prolific style. Fresh off of a group-wide appearance on Logic’s aptly-titled “Wu Tang Forever,” Method Man, Raekwon, and Ghostface Killah come together in support of Teyana Taylor.
Teyana’s Keep That Same Energy, (aka K.T.S.E.) was the last album in a series of summertime released helmed by Kanye West production. “Gonna Love Me” is a soulful song on the album that addresses a relationship impasse. With a strong love, the track takes audit on what two partners can do to improve a bond that means something.
The three Wu MCs (who made a Wu Massacre album together at the top of the decade) are masters at relationship raps. Ghostface spits about some fallout between him and the lady in his life. Next, Mr. Meth’ focuses on the strong bond and why he is a committed partner that wants to make it last. In the last verse, Raekwon describes wining and dining his lady (with his own vino, of course), and the art of seduction.
