When it comes to sampling classic goodies it’s either or a hit or a miss. But it seems like Papi Yerr can not miss when it comes to turning classic 2000’s cuts into bangers. Sampling is an art form in itself. Many of today’s producers are reaching into the golden age of the 2000’s to capture a sound that many feel like is missing in today’s music. When I heard the rhythmic bounce behind Jerry Sprunger I felt compelled to research the man behind the boards; and I found none other than the Miami based musical savant who goes by the name of Papi Yerr. Papi Yerr produced Jerry Sprunger ft T-Pain, The Take ft Chris Brown, & Love Sounds ft The-Dream on the highly anticipated Chixtape 5. For a new producer Papi has raked in some heavy credits already. Chixtape 5 debuted at #2 on Billboards Top 200 & #1 on the R&B Album Sales chart. We are looking forward to hear more from Papi Yerr and I know 2020 will be quite the year for the rising artist/producer.
