Maddi Madd Gives Hip-Hop Fans Success 3 on Hip-Hop's 50th Anniversary

Celebrated Midwest MC unveils his latest musical offering, showcasing powerful lyrics and unstoppable determination.

Renowned rapper and owner of Blimpcity Records, Maddi Madd, prepares to drop his latest album, "Success 3," on September 8, 2023. With a career spanning decades, Maddi Madd has solidified his status as a formidable force in the hip-hop scene. He is often considered one of the best MCs to come out of the Midwest.

Hailing from the same hometown as basketball icon LeBron James, Maddi Madd has captivated audiences with his lyrical prowess and street anthems that win loyal fans across age groups and demographics. Despite facing adversity and challenges, he inspires and challenges listeners worldwide.

Having collaborated with a diverse range of music figures, including Rah Digga, C-Bo, Jodeci, Ginuwine, Bizzy Bone, Devante Swing, K-Ci & JoJo, Flo Rida, DJ Quik, Jamie Foxx, and Outsidaz, Maddi Madd's influence in the industry is undeniable. His contributions have earned him RIAA-certified platinum awards, notably for his involvement in Flo Rida's hit singles "Whistle" and "Wild Ones."

Maddi Madd's journey began in Akron, Ohio, where he first gained recognition as part of the rap group Bizness Clique. The group's local radio success led to a pivotal moment when they were discovered by Grown Man Records President Ivan Jones in 1995. Maddi Madd's career continued to ascend as he penned most of the soundtrack for the HBO documentary "Pimps Up, Ho's Down," directed by Brent Owens, in 1998.

In 1999, Maddi Madd went solo, releasing his debut EP, "A Million Wayz," under Grown Man Records. His evolution as an artist continued with the international release of his single "Emotional / Ohio Thuggin" under 280 East Records in 2002.

This led to Maddi Madd's Blimpcity Records securing a distribution deal with Bungalo Universal. In 2005 Maddi worked with Devante Swing on the album "The Midwest Juggernaut" and shot a video with legendary R&B group Jodeci for his song "Hollaback." "The Midwest Juggernaut" album had to be shelved due to Federal Indictments that hit associates close to Maddi Madd. Maddi Madd collaborated with Ginuwine on the "Much Closer" track in 2009, further solidifying his artistic prowess.

He continues to be distributed by Universal Music Group, ensuring a broad reach as his new album drops.

As he readies for the release of "Success 3," which he describes as "a real album with a consistent subject and not just a bunch of songs thrown together," in honor of hip-hop's 50th anniversary, Maddi Madd remains an unstoppable force in the music industry. His remarkable journey, from local recognition to international acclaim, is a testament to his unwavering dedication and undeniable talent.
