E-40, Too $hort, and Ice Cube of rap supergroup Mount Westmore (along with Snoop Dogg who wasn't in attendance) were recent guests on ROCK THE BELLS radio where they were interviewed by fellow Hip-Hop legend and founder, LL COOL J.
During the interview, Ice Cube and E-40 remembered the huge impact LL had on them when they were young.
"When I first heard you, I was laying down in my bed listening to KDAY late at night. Greg Mack was like 'Yo we got this new song out on Def Jam,'" Cube recalled, referencing LL's classic track "I Need A Beat." "I rose up in my bed like, 'This is what I've been waiting for all day.' Hip-Hop was so rare back then."
