Originating from Los Angeles, California, King Leaf (Born Khalifah Macopson) isn’t anyone new to the music industry. Hailing from Music Royalty, King Leaf’s grandfather “Ali Woodson” was a member of the legendary group “The Temptations” and his mother “Lateasha” was a solo artist signed to Motown Records. Following his musical genes, At the Age of 4 he touched his first Drum set while jamming with the Legendary Stevie Wonder. King Leaf started rapping in the 2nd Grade. By the 5th grade he ventured to start his own rap group, resulting in the two turning down contract offers from Universal and recording artist “J Kwon”. In 2012 King Leaf graduated from the “Atlanta Institute of Music” with a degree in Audio Engineering & Production.

King Leaf has continued on as a multi-talented Recording Artist, Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, Sound Designer and Music Producer. Owning stellar work Credits that include: Desiigner, Bobby Brown, Three 6 Mafia, Dj Paul, Wolftyla, B.O.B, Problem, Gizzle, Dom Kennedy, Waka Flocka Flame, Amara La Negra, & YG. He is also a Songwriter & Musician (Keys, Piano, Guitar, Drums, etc.), as well as a Mixing & Mastering Engineer with Credits: Travis $cott, Three 6 Mafia (Dj Paul), Yelawolf, Too Short, Gizzle, Lupe Fiasco, Bobby Brown, Hit Boy, Wolftyla, & Eearz. The iconic producer and King Leaf’s legendary mentor Teddy Riley, refers to King Leaf as “Truly Gifted”...a nod to the talents of this young artist.
King Leaf is someone you should become very familiar with in 2020.
