As fall winds up everyone is in search for new music to add to their fall time playlists. I think I have found the perfect artists. He goes by the name Jthurston, and is from Oakland California. This young star is making waves across the industry with his new single “Kings and Gods”. The intense seriousness of this record brings true fall vibes, and couldn't have been released at a better time.

Jthurston has a very unique voice, his vocal range and tonal control is incredible. It is rare to come across an artist with this much flare in their voice. “Kings and Gods” is a true rap record, with a glistening instrumental and well mixed vocal patterns/

It is not everyday that a true Rap superstar emerges from the underground and shines their light on the world. Everytime I come across an artist with extreme talent and not a huge fan base, I ask myself why it is that so many great artists are left undiscovered. I have come to the conclusion that great music is not the only thing that matters in this industry. Business minded artists always see more success, because they understand the necessity for pushing their music.

“Kings and Gods” is a must listen for anyone who considered himself a true Hip-Hop fan. Make sure you give Jthurston a listen on Spotify, and give him a follow on social media to keep up with all things Jthurston.

Music for Lumpkin isn’t something you step into once everything is figured out. It’s something you carry with you, refine on the move, and allow to grow alongside real life. A self-taught…See More
