JAY-Z‘s Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment at Long Island University Brooklyn has come under scrutiny over its promise that its students would be able to graduate debt-free.
In a report by Gothamist, a number of current and former students opened up about their experience at the school, saying they feel deceived after being saddled with thousands of dollars of debt.
The school, which opened in 2021, offered some students what it called a “Hope Scholarship,” which was for applicants with the highest amount of financial need.
