From Texas to the Spotlight: How 21-Year-Old DEEP$IDE is taking the Underground Music Scene by Storm

DEEP$IDE is a 21-year-old artist from San Angelo, Texas.

He began his journey in the music industry in 2017 at the age of 14, gaining early recognition by consulting on an unreleased project for the late rapper XXXTENTACION. At just 16, DEEP$IDE co-produced a leaked version of the unfinished song “Angel.”

Since then, DEEP$IDE has established his own record label, Westside Queens, and released three compilation albums featuring over 20 underground artists and producers.

In 2022, DEEP$IDE headlined his first show, sharing the stage with Twisted Insane, a legacy artist and founder of Branzik Music, who has collaborated with Tech N9ne, and Carolyn Rodriguez, ex-wife of rapper SPM and a former star of Dopehouse Records.

In 2023, DEEP$IDE spent time collaborating with artists in the Baltimore/DMV area, releasing his first music video, "Slide," in October. During this period, he also worked closely with Rome, a protégé of DJ Flow (Meek Mill's official DJ), owner of HBM Records, and manager of prominent Baltimore artist Money Jake. DEEP$IDE collaborated with the late underground rapper Jayy Grams and directed a mini-documentary about his deceased mentor TK Crazy.

Now based in San Diego, California, DEEP$IDE continues to thrive in the spotlight. He has released songs alongside rising artists like D-Boy 223, Danny Riguez, and Rome, and dropped a collaborative EP with Westside Queens' artist Victriny44.

In 2024, DEEP$IDE made his debut appearance in UNDRGRND MAGAZINE, a rising Los Angeles startup that showcases underground artists from around the world, appearing alongside 805 legend Troublekidd.

DEEP$IDE has also been featured on popular San Diego podcasts such as Drinks With JD, Barbershop Confidential, and the Grown Folks Podcast, continuing to make a significant impact at such a young age.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
