Freddie Gibbs couldn’t resist Madlib’s new Sound Ancestors tracks.
On Friday, legendary producer Madlib dropped his latest album, Sound Ancestors. The project was composed with London producer Four Tet. Just hours after the album’s release, Madlib’s new best friend Freddie Gibbs has dropped impromptu freestyles over one of the tracks. Stream the new verses below.
Over the tracks “Dirtknock” and the previously-released single “Hopprock,” Gibbs name-drops everything from Fat Sal’s to Don Cornelius with an understandably-giddy Uber driver and fellow passenger cheering him along in the background.
