Snoop Dogg and DJ Premier have been working together for over a quarter-century. Both artists are cemented leaders in distinct sounds within Rap, but they collaborate well.
The two first came together on Jermaine Dupri’s debut album for “Protectors Of The 1472” (alongside Warren G and R.O.C.). In 2002, Preemo provided two tracks to Snoop’s album Paid The Cost To Be The Bo$$ as well as another production issued to The Lady Of Rage on a Dogg label compilation. A year later, Snoop guested on The Ownerz, the final Gang Starr album released during Guru’s life. Nearly two decades after, in late 2021, Snoop and Preemo reunited for a power-packed Russ song that also involved Big K.R.I.T. But the legacy does not end there.
