This coming September marks the 30th anniversary of the premiere of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. To commemorate the milestone, DJ Jazzy Jeff is throwing a virtual block party on Saturday with some special guests.
The “Break the Monotony Block Party” will feature 60-minute sets from Just Blaze, DJ D-Nice, and more.
Additionally, Jeff announced he’d be launching a 10-piece limited-edition collection called “Fresh Prince/Summertime.” A portion of proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry, which seeks to provide healthy meals for children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The idea came up that it would be cool to do a block party with not just me DJ-ing,” Jeff told Rolling Stone. “So I called up some of my friends and said, “let’s make this an all-day thing;” let’s stay in the house, cook some food, make some drinks, and dance in the kitchen together.”
