De La Soul have announced the re-release of a rare 1994 EP featuring a collaboration with A Tribe Called Quest.
Originally issued in a limited pressing of 500 copies, ‘Clear Lake Auditorium’ was distributed exclusively to selected DJs as part of the promotion of De La Soul’s third album, 1993’s ‘Buhloone Mindstate’.
The hip-hop pioneers took to Instagram on Friday (10th January) to announce that the four-track EP will be getting an official release in March this year.
“Originally pressed in 1994 as an exclusive promotional release for select DJs, ‘Clear Lake Audiotorium’ has achieved near-mythical status among collectors,” De La Soul wrote in the statement.
