Based out of Linwood, Pennsylvania, Bran L is a rapper whose lyrical flair has seen his reputation catapult in 2021. By encapsulating himself within his music, he has captured the hearts, attention, and respect of people across the country, while picking up awards in the process.

Citing influence from the golden era rap legends such as Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G, NF, and Wu-Tang Clan, Bran L has been able to carve out a sound that is equal parts raw, lyrically intelligent, and truly heartfelt. This ethos has paved the way for Bran L's open and purposeful approach to writing, and seen him continuously touch upon his own life experiences. In return, this has allowed fans to connect to both Bran and his music on a deeper level.

Before moving to the city at a young age, Bran spent his earliest days in Akron. After his move to Linwood, he quickly adapted to inner-city life and even began to thrive in it. He credits his relationships with his friends, family, and particularly his father for helping him shape his music and assisting him to climb to the heights he already sits at today.

Under his father's wing from a young age, who was a producer and promoter in the industry, the guidance he received has now become invaluable to Bran L. It led to Bran finally immersing himself in the music industry in 2018, with his drive to put pen to paper and forge a career for himself in the scene only ever increasing day by day. With his life experiences curating his music every single day, Bran L is now aiming to see his name on the world's biggest stages, with the end goal to become a platinum artist.

After announcing himself officially in 2021 with the 'Applause' EP, Bran L burst onto the scene with the hard-hitting project that encapsulated all the qualities that have now become synonymous with his distinct style.

Not letting anyone forget his name, he quickly followed up with the 'Mirrors' EP, with this project truly securing Bran L a place on America's hip-hop map. 'I Don’t Know' picked up 2.2 million streams and a music industry streaming award, while 'In Another Life' went on to pick up over 15 million streams in a matter of months.

Next up for Bran L is the release of his highly-awaited follow-up LP. Entitled, ‘Reflections in The Mirror', with its release planned for the very near future.

Bran L made his mark on the Pennsylvanian hip-hop scene with his unique breed of conscious lyrics packed with meaning. His EP, ‘Mirrors’, went on to amass millions upon millions of streams, subsequently landing him his first music industry streaming award. ‘In Another Life’ broke the charts, racking up over 16.5 million streams in a short amount of time.

‘In Another Life’ builds on what put Bran L on the map in the first place -- his innate ability to communicate and inspire others through his chosen vessel -- rap.

The track opens up with lush, melancholic chords that set the stage for an emotionally-charged 5-minute hip-hop track. Beautifully sung vocals that echo sentiments of loss and heartbreak, accompanied by lyrics that remind us of the fragility of life draw the listener into the beginning of Bran L’s story about his grandfather’s battle with cancer.

“I wanted this to be a perfect product. While in the studio, I gave everything I had that day, and the product turned out better than what I had envisioned” - Bran L

‘In Another Life’ premiered on July 30th 2021, released on branlrealmusic. It’s his ability to craft out a sonic landscape that puts his heartfelt stories front and center, that has gained the attention of many respected players in the hip-hop circuit.

It features Nate (an additional performer), production credits by Rockitpro, and was mixed and mastered by Rob Barnabei (INR Studios).

“Out of all the songs that Bran L has recorded over his 3-year career in the industry, this one specific song was an emotional roller coaster for him to record, simply due to the fact that the song is about his grandfather and his connection with his grandfather was so strong” - Richard Powell
