Three years ago, Alchemist teamed up with Budgie for The Good Book — an album full of soul, gospel and religious samples, all wrapped up in hip-hop beats. Today, the pair return with the second edition of The Good Book series, and the pair bring through a massive, wide range of guests from all across rap.
Over the course of 45 (!!) songs, Alchemist and Budgie lay beats underneath vocals from:
Mobb Deep, Royce 5’9, Westside Gunn & Conway (“A Thousand Birds“), Mach Hommy, Meyhem Lauren, Durag Dynasty, Big Twins, Your Old Droog, Evidence, Olivier The 2nd, Jeremiah Jae, Action Bronson and Big Body Bes (“Brother Jedediah“), Buddy, Emmavie, Chris O’Bannon, Joyce Wright, Jay Worthy, Traffic, Dreebo, Sulaiman, Nyku, Remy Banks, Chuck Inglish, Nasty Nigel and Joyce Wrice.
That’s a lot of people.
Stream The Good Book, Vol. 2 below and cop the album here. And if you don’t listen to every song on the album, at least listen to “Try My Hand,” which features Havoc and the late Prodigy.
