Medicine music and Irish folk singer, Ajeet unveils a new way rising with ‘Blooming’ the first single from her upcoming album.

Ajeet’s music is as likely to be heard in an Irish pub as at an Ayahuasca ceremony. Her recently released single, “Blooming”, from Spirit Voyage Records walks these two worlds.  Part folk and part medicine music, Blooming is a song about shedding our old selves and welcoming a new way to be in this world.  Ajeet sings, “We all carry stories, we bury them deep, and so I’ll dig into the soil because we are letting go.” It speaks to releasing the stories we’ve hidden and embracing our truths.  A stripped back song, Ajeet’s rich gentle vocals float over Bouzouki, Bodhrán and harp with double bass and sweet harmonies. There is a heartbeat percussion that carries through the song.

Says Ajeet, “This song is intimate, paired-back, and full of raw sweet life. I hope this song can be an open door, a new dawn, a moment to see what may arrive next.”

Ajeet is a world music artist weaving inspiration from traditional Irish folk to mystical and meditative soundscapes. Ajeet’s creative process bridges both live performances and her recording studio, where she produces and engineers her own records. She is a multi-instrumentalist weaving Bodhrán, piano, whistles, flutes and more into her live performances and recordings. Celebrated as #1 on the iTunes World Chart and Billboard Top 10 New Age Chart, Ajeet’s music continues to be embraced by communities around the world.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
