For the second year in a row, A Tribe Called Quest has been nominated for the Rock Hall of Fame and not made it through to induction.
Consequence has an issue with A Tribe Called Quest being snubbed by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the second consecutive year. On Wednesday (May 3), the rapper, who’s also cousins with ATCQ member Q-Tip, spoke to TMZ Hip Hop in Queens, New York, near the location of the group’s mural.
“So I’m going past everybody facial right now to make sure that hip-hop remember who’s getting snubbed,” Consequence told the outlet. “You know, this is the family tree. Regardless of whatever, and however, this is the family tree for me, you know what I’m saying? This is the tree that brought you G.O.O.D Music. This is the tree that allowed Common to go from Common Sense to Be Common.”
