In less than one month, the Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G. documentary will air on television. This is the first doc authorized by the rapper’s estate, and contains never before released audio of Biggie talking. It will feature Biggie’s wife Faith Evans, his mother Voletta Wallace, his right-hand man Lil’ Cease, and his mentor, Puff Daddy. Additionally, two major contemporaries speak on their friend’s behalf: JAY-Z and Nas.
While Jay and Biggie made two collaborations, including “Brooklyn’s Finest,” he and Nas did not collaborate on wax. The pair did unite for a famed Hip-Hop moment in the early 1990s as captured by “Uncle” Ralph McDaniels.
In an A&E promotional clip, the pair rap lyrics to “Who Shot Ya?,” released in 1995. Nas crowns B.I.G. as “the best to touch the mic, ever.”
