The Funky Rewind is a movement to bring different types of people together. It is a FREE party every Thursday night at Skylark in the heart of the Mission district of San Francisco at 16th and Valencia.

Musically the style is broad, "A Step into Sound System Culture". It includes heavy funk breaks, the early days of hip-hop and D.C. Go-go, boogie and classic Jamaican riddims. We wanted to bring a diverse group of people together to get down on a weekly basis and get together on a positive level during these tough economic times. San Francisco is a city like no other, it is THE CITY!!! So why not get together on a family vibe and help each other out.
