International Women's Day (March 8th -- note that this party is on Sunday, March 7th, the day before) was originally a day to honor the women who protested against terrible working conditions in the early 1900s in textile factories. It grew to be a day of empowerment and unity, and now has evolved to become a global day celebrating women's economic, political and social achievements of the past, present, and future. Come out and celebrate! :)
