Event Description

Power Struggle is about two New York City bucket drummers and how music, following your passion and doing what you love can give you the power to overcome struggles. Funded entirely on the streets through tips and donations by the good people of San Francisco and New York, the film takes us inside the world of the street musician where everyday is a hustle and learning how to maintain your love & passion for the music beyond the struggle, is freedom.

KYJ Productions & Audiopharmacy Prescriptions is proud to announce the official release of Power Struggle, an independent full-length feature film starring Christopher Romanelli, Anthony Smith-Little and directed by KeepYahJoy. The Power Struggle film release event will be hosted at The Offcenter Theater, 848 Divisadero Street in San Francisco on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the film starts at 8:30p.m. The event will also feature a DJ set by Teao n' Offerings (Audiopharmacy, SF), an art exhibit and live painting by Ras Terms (Black Diamonds Shining, Oakland), a open chess tournament and a Q & A session with director/producer, KeepYahJoy, along with other contributors of the film.

Brittany Nicole doesn’t fit into a single lane. She’s a visual architect, a creative polymath, a storyteller who moves seamlessly between pen, lens, and mic. From childhood runways with Wilhelmina Models to commanding the frame behind the camera, Brittany has always operated at the intersection of image and impact.
