Writers With Drinks is going way over the top, and then dropping a ladder.

About the writers/readers:

Kim Stanley Robinson's latest book is Shaman. His other books include 2312, Galileo's Dream, the Mars Trilogy, the Years of Rice and Salt, Antarctica, the Science in the Capital series, and the Three Californias trilogy. Robinson's novels have won 11 major science fiction awards, including multiple Hugos and Nebulas, plus the World Fantasy Award, the John W. Campbell Award and the Locus Award.

Tom Barbash's new book is the story collection Stay Up With Me. He's the author of the award-winning novel The Last Good Chance and the non-fiction book On Top of the World: Cantor Fitzgerald, Howard Lutnick, and 9/11; A Story of Loss and Renewal, which was a New York Times bestseller. His stories and articles have been published in Tin House, McSweeney's, Virginia Quarterly Review, and other publications, and have been performed on National Public Radio's Selected Shorts series.

Kim Wong Keltner's books include Buddha Baby, The Dim Sum of All Things, I Want Candy and Tiger Babies Strike Back.

Douglas Lain is the author of Billy Moon, a novel about Christopher Milne, the real-life inspiration for Christopher Robin in the Winnie the Pooh stories. Lain's other works include the "bizarro fiction" volume Wave of Mutilation and the Diet Soap zine and podcast.

Mollena "Mo" Williams is a NYC born and raised writer, Leatherwoman, actress, BDSM Educator, fat fetish model and Executive Pervert. She is honored to have served as International Ms Leather 2010 and Ms. San Francisco Leather 2009. Consciously submissive since 1993 and Active in the Leather and BDSM communities since 1996, she keeps it real all over the US, Europe and Canada on myriad BDSM, Leather and kinkcentric topics. Mo authored the "The Toybag Guide: Taboo Play," the essay "BDSM and Playing with Race" which appears in Best Sex Writing 2010, has two essays appearing in Tristan Taormino's Ultimate Guide to Kinky Sex and is co-author, along with Lee Harrington of the upcoming book Playing Well With Others.

Tatyana Brown is the founding Captain of The Lit Slam, a San Francisco-based, live-audience- curated literary journal. She ranked 4th in the world of competitive performance poetry at the 2011 Individual World Poetry Slam. Brown has toured North America as a poet, read poems to teenagers on the mountaintops of British Columbia, told tales on NPR’s true-life storytelling show, Snap Judgment, and sold instant literature ranging from short fiction to wedding vows as a street vending freelance writer in New York City. She holds the distinct honor of winning the longest consecutive string of XXX Haiku Deathmatch Championships at Oakland’s notorious variety show, Tourettes Without Regrets (and she did so with sex-positive, progressive, feminist comedy).

Writers With Drinks won "Best Literary Night" from the SF Bay Guardian readers' poll six years in a row and was named "Best Literary Drinking" and "Best Literary Hour" by the SF Weekly. And it was namechecked in Armistead Maupin's latest Tales of the City novel. The spoken word "variety show" mixes genres to raise money for local worthy causes. The award-winning show includes poetry, stand-up comedy, science fiction, fantasy, romance, mystery, literary fiction, erotica, memoir, zines and blogs in a freewheeling format.
