Event Description

The Jamaican-bred Inner Circle is one of the most respected reggae groups in the world, with successes stretching back to the mid-70s. The two-time Grammy-winning quintet's unique brand of pop-oriented Jamaican beats and energy allows the band to transcend the traditional reggae niche and enjoy widespread crossover appeal.

A mainstay at many of the world's largest music festivals, Inner Circle has shared the stage with the likes of Elton John, Bob Marley, Van Morrison and many other music greats. They are perhaps best known for the success of "Bad Boys," the title track from the album of the same name, and the theme song for the television show, Cops.

Inner Circle's most recent album, "Blazzin' Fire: Classic Cuts" (DubShotta/SoundBoy Ent), echoes their universal relevance with hard-hitting lyrics and guest appearances by Buju Banton, Pitbull, Anthony B and more. Their intense tour schedule re-asserts the depth of Inner Circle's musical history. Inner Circle is one of the handful of pioneering reggae bands still around with the credentials and artistry to do it.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
