These womyn have reunited to showcase their talents, creating a love vibe that begins with a harmonious neo-soul groove and ends with an explosive house climax!

This gathering is for the groove lovers, dancers, breakers, and jivers!

Come join us Thursday, May 13th 2010 at SOMAR BAR & LOUNGE (1727 Telegraph Ave./Oakland/between 17th & 18th St.)
9pm-2am.

EARTHTONE DJ's

DJ S2 of the Earth Tone DJs (Chicago)

Raised in Chicago, DJ S2 has an eclectic musical library consisting of music from Louis Armstrong to Pink Floyd. She spins Neo-Soul, R&B, Top 40, Pop and Mash-ups but her musical love is House. Growing up in Chicago she could not refuse the influence and musical creativity of House icons such as Ron Hardy, Lil Louis, Ralphie Rosario, Frankie Knuckles, Farley and many other House music pioneers.

DJ S2 is one of the founders of Earth Tone DJs (an all female DJ crew and multimedia company). She has held residency for "AFTERGLOW"at Cleos, and "CHOPPED & SCREWED" at Purgatory in Chicago.

She has also held guest spots at events such as “ SOCIALFLARE” at Sura Bistro, “DRANKINʼ Nʼ JAMMIN" at Escape Lounge, “ARTLIFE II” at Studio E, ”SESSIONS” at Cherry Red, "CHICAGO DYKE MARCH COLLECTIVE" at Evil Olive, and several "CHICAGO DIRTY GIRL" events at Lakeview Broadcasting Co./Spot 6/Angels and Kings, "DOLL HOUSE" at Wicker Well and ”FERAL FRIDAYS” at The Zoo.

DJ S2 and Earth Tone Productions have also promoted many successful social events for women who love women in the city of Chicago such as “SPRING SWAGGER", “CHOPPED & SCREWED" and “V-DAY IN PURGATORY" (to name a few).



DJ Slum B. of the Earth Tone DJs (Chicago)

Originally from Northern California, DJ Slum B. pumps up the volume with the smooth grooves of Neo-Soul and Hip Hop. She apprenticed under DJ S2 studying Chicago House which provided an outlet for her true love of Neo-Soul. After learning Chicago?s deep devotion to soulful House, she then propelled a new form of Chi-town!/Bay Area fusion. She believes that a sense of belonging (which music provides) is what keeps people coming back for more. After years of extensive studies in traditional arts, DJ Slum B. attended Brooks college in Sunnyvale, California where she earned a degree in Graphic Design. She is currently a Freelance Graphic Designer for a night life event promotion companies (Music-101.com) which hosted Green Dolphin?s “BOOM BOOM ROOM”, Vision Night Club?s “BASS+BEATS+RHYTHM”, La Pomme Rouge?s “RADIO PARADISO”, Spy Bar?s “STYLUS”, and Debonair Social Club?s “PGFC”, Ladies Touch Entertainment in LA/Chicago, Pimp and Push Entertainment, Luxe Entertainment, Chicago Dirty Girls, Art Life,"Doll House" Wicker Well, Tomboi Swagg, Shelikesgirlz.com, & D'alliance Entertainment. Her works have been published through Image Magazine, 5 Magazine, Boi Magazine, Gay Chicago Magazine, and Chicago Scene.
