Event Description

For the past two years, Pyramind Studios has welcomed a growing roster of genuine musical innovators for our Elite Sessions master class series. On Saturday September 25th, we're thrilled to present yet another exclusive, can't-find-it-anywhere-else seminar with the master hip-hop artist and beatmaker

DOMINO, of Hieroglyphics

Domino has been a force in the local hip-hop scene since the early 1990's, back when beats were made on samplers. Now, Domino produces his distinctive funk- and jazz-inspired sounds & grooves not just on hardware samplers but with hardware & software synths, plugins, the MPC, Ableton Live, Avid Pro Tools, and more.

Domino is also the Former CEO and Manager of Hieroglyphics Imperium, and brings with him an in-depth perspective on the music business that includes not just the past and present, but also the future of the industry.

In an exclusive masterclass at Pyramind Studios in San Francisco, Domino will do a "Behind The Music"-style presentation about Hieroglyphics' history, told through the music that's moved the world.

* In Part I: The Stories Behind the Songs, he'll break down Hieroglyphics' musical catalog, sharing stories about the growth of this local crew to world-famous rappers and artists, and his own musical story, as well.
* In Part II: The Skills Behind The Technique, Domino will go in-depth into his personal production workflow, and share some of the skills that make his music so unique, and his services as an artist and producer so in-demand.

And Domino won't just be presenting, he'll be PERFORMING as well, debuting NEW BEATS with Special Guests and more surprises.

Few, if any, hiphop producers have EVER gone this in-depth into their production style and history. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn about music and hip-hop history from a true master, in an intimate setting.

More than just another project, DNA represents the core identity of The Hated Crew—its influences, struggles, sound, and artistic vision woven together into one cohesive body of work. Cole Lumpkin Moves With the Music, Letting Life Shape Every Note

Cole Lumpkin doesn’t create from a distance. He creates from inside the moment. As a New York City native, his artistry reflects motion, curiosity, and constant self-interrogation. Music for Lumpkin isn’t something you step into once everything is figured out. It’s something you carry with you, refine on the move, and allow to grow alongside real life. A self-taught…See More

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
