Event Description

B-Side Cipher: Live And Direct is a multimedia variety show and speaker series that aims to entertain, educate and empower its audience through art, community wellness and free speech media. Live And Direct is broadcast from Berkeley Community Media, a local free speech public access television station, which ensures freedom of expression for our artists and audience. We invite local musicians, Hip-Hop artists and speakers to educate and entertain the audience in order to build community through storytelling and discussion. Additionally, Live And Directs hosts and facilitates a community potluck and wellness clinic prior to the show itself so that our audience can refresh, connect and network with each other; as our core aim is economic empowerment. Live And Direct is a multifaceted television event that aims to uplift and strengthen the community through storytelling.
