San Francisco, CA - The Afro Classics (Scarub of Living Legends & Very) hit the road Friday, Oct. 2nd on their 20 date Classic Rock Tour in support of their brand new album of the same name. October 22nd @ Atmosphere in San Francisco, CA will mark the final show of the tour and it’s only fitting that they return to the birthplace of the Living Legends, the San Francisco Bay Area.
For those that don't know, Afro Classics are a Los Angeles based Hip Hop group, consisting of Scarub from the world famous Living Legends & Very of USpros. Both highly skilled & seasoned lyricists and performers, Afro Classics have been respected in the notorious Los Angeles underground hip hop scene for over 10 years, as well as around North America, Western Europe, Japan & Australia touring with Living Legends. The duo released the critically acclaimed Classic EP earlier this year (Legendary Music, 2009) and have a brand new full length album out now, entitled Classic Rock.
Joining the bill for the final show of the tour will be buzzing Bay Area group The Understudies w/ DJ MRC, fresh off of a two week west coast tour of their own, alongside Aesop of Living Legends and Ro Knew & Influence. The Understudies are known for their energetic stage show with witty, intelligent lyrics and their variety of unique, well tailored production. While preparing the 4th serving of their “CollectiveCompliments” album series, The Understudies released Citizen’s In Search of Her Soul EP and the Venture Capitalists’ Rate of Exchange LP through their own Study Music imprint and in addition recently partnered with Los Angeles based publisher Dogpatch Media for exclusive physical & digital releases in addition to supplementary live performances and touring.
