THE 5 BEATS

A collaboration of world renowned DJs / producers Franck Roger, Alix Alvarez and Mr.V.

Held at the flagship club Djoon in Paris, France, The 5 Beats night has quickly built a reputation as the hottest underground party in Paris and one of the finest in Europe. With the first party held in Miami at the 2004 WMC, the party has recently launched at one off venues in NYC. Having presented to play alongside them everyone from, Dennis Ferrer, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Blaze and Joaquin “Joe” Claussell to Laurent Garnier, DJ Dixon and countless others. 5Five is proud to bring the 5 Beats to San Francisco for the first time on Friday, October 3rd.

Alix from a very young age has devoted himself to cutting and blending records, later on attending The Shelter as his first underground party. Continuing to dedicate his life to sound; he studied audio engineering and landed himself a job at MAW studios. From there we’ve heard a stream of successful productions from the NYC wonder-kid that can do no wrong. Born in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Mr.V was introduced to the club scene by his Aunt who was a bouncer for “The World” Night Club. Dj’ing non-stop from age 14 his reputation earned him a position at MAW records as assistant to Louie Vega. Mr.V remains an integral part of the music and club scene with years of experience as a gifted DJ with new ideas and a fresh sound.

Cole Lumpkin doesn’t create from a distance. He creates from inside the moment. As a New York City native, his artistry reflects motion, curiosity, and constant self-interrogation. Music for Lumpkin isn’t something you step into once everything is figured out. It’s something you carry with you, refine on the move, and allow to grow alongside real life. A self-taught…See More
