Dayton, Ohio’s own Philonius Phunk, founder of Phunk Breaks Entertainment, returns with a bold and empowering new single, “Take It Off” ft. SwagSwitcha, released on October 22, 2025. Known for his creative approach to hip-hop and club music, Philonius sets out to deliver a track that feels sexy, high-energy, and rooted in respect. With production by Keke Got Beats and engineering by Bill Beats, the record delivers a polished blend of bounce, rhythm, and confidence—crafted for nightlife but grounded in intention.
What sets “Take It Off” apart is the message behind the music. Philonius Phunk wrote this record from the perspective of a supportive male patron, deliberately avoiding misogyny while uplifting the women who make club culture thrive. His motivation came from wanting to show appreciation for sex workers, recognizing them as entrepreneurs who navigate supply, demand, and branding like any other business professional. “Just because they use their bodies as a business,” he explains, “doesn’t discredit them from getting money or being who they are aside from work.” This commitment to honoring their hustle shines through lyrically, especially in standout lines like: "They're just mad, cuz they're broke, sippin’ on hater lean / They see your best life is on point, and that content mean."
With all his music available on major streaming platforms and Bandcamp, Philonius Phunk continues to expand his reach and his message. While he’s earned many achievements in his career, he proudly states that one of his greatest accolades is simply “the gift of life”—a perspective that reflects his grounded, grateful energy as both an artist and a person. “Take It Off” is more than a club anthem—it's a celebration of empowerment, entrepreneurship, and giving flowers where they’re due.
