Will there ever be a film staring an originator? It seems like every film I see about an African based dance style is always staring a blond white girl. Still, promoting the dancing & keeping it alive can be a good thing. I just wish one time someone would make a movie like beat street that shows the culture as it is & not have to feel like they need to show a white girl to try to legitimize it for mainstream Amerika. Plus the latino quick to pull a knife? I don't play that type of stereo. They need to take the knife out of his hand & make him the main character. That I would go see.
