The Council 2432 Announces Debut LP "A Dose of Reality"

In December 2024, Ohio-based hip-hop collective The Council 2432 secured a major distribution deal with New Jersey label Dominion Hill Records. This strategic partnership sets the stage for their highly anticipated debut LP, A Dose of Reality, slated for release in March 2025.

The seven-track project features an impressive lineup, including Jag Da Apostle, Mall Black, Manny Divine, and Matthew Cooper. Jag Da Apostle, a dynamic MC and producer, crafted all seven tracks on the LP, with additional co-production from Zach Wright on track two.

Billy Blaize, CEO and manager of The Council 2432, is making major waves in both the hip-hop and legal cannabis industries. With a keen business acumen, Blaize has worked tirelessly to position the group for success. After securing the Dominion Hill Records deal, he organized an ambitious tour, booking performances across Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Las Vegas, Nevada, including appearances at prominent cannabis festivals and music venues. “Dominion Hill Records was simply a no-brainer for us,” said Billy Blaize. “By maintaining our creative rights, having total control, and working with top industry professionals, we can reach audiences worldwide. Dominion Hill is the perfect platform for new artists looking to expand their reach using the right tools.”

We also spoke with Dominion Hill Records CEO Rhasun, who shared his thoughts on The Council 2432 and their potential impact on the industry. “They came to the table with everything they needed to succeed,” said Rhasun. “Billy Blaize is not just a great manager; he’s a proven businessman who knows how to build successful ventures. The Council 2432 has a unique ability to attract a multicultural fanbase, a crucial element in today’s hip-hop landscape. Their dedicated audience knows the lyrics, supports their shows, and turns up in numbers—even without a headliner. All they needed was a partner and a platform, and we provided that.” With their strategic vision, industry backing, and undeniable talent, The Council 2432 is poised to make a significant mark on Ohio’s hip-hop scene and beyond. A Dose of Reality is just the beginning.
