Oakland's own Cal Ripken (@calripken510) drops new single "1K One's" out now!

Artist Name: Cal Ripken

Song Title: 1K One's

Cal Ripken is a young MC who simply spits it how he lives.  Born and raised May 27th 1985 in Oakland, CA, a graduate of Oakland Tech High School, “Cal” developed a love and passion for music at an early age. Raised in a two-parent household were both parents had their own sense of a "wild side" and "adventure" expressing himself was never a hard thing to do, especially in a profound and creative way.  He utilizes his creative ability to rap, produce, and sing while approaching each track with the intention of painting an accurate picture of what he knows first-hand. The stories in his music usually consist of partying, women, and a heavy dose of pretty-boy braggadocio.

With a few years under his belt of being an artist in every facade of the word, Cal has managed to create a style all of his own and can easily gain the ear of his peers and is known by a wide variety of local artists including local DJ’s, promoters, and graphic designers. During his years of putting together his own club events to showcase his own talent, he has also put together an annual toy drive showing his love for his city and his community.

Cal Ripken is a man of many talents, but his focus is his passion for music. He continues to give everything he’s got to come up with good music and tireless performances for his fans, and I don't believe he's don't yet.
