LAB Records Continues Building on Momentum With a Powerful Summer

Without a doubt, some of the best hip hop today is coming from the West Coast; Los Angeles in particular.  Nowhere is this more evident than in the news coming out of  HYPERLINK "http://www.losangelesbasedrecords.com/"Los Angeles Based Records.  The label, LAB Records for short, have been doing very big things this summer and seem poised for a breakthrough that will leave them on every urban music fans radar.  According to LAB Records, it's a very good time for hip hop music.

“We've been building our label around authentic street music,”  says label CEO and producer Kevin "Kev Da Khemist" Flores.  “Strong rap, backed by banging beats.  LAB Records is here to stay!”

Highlights of the summer have included dropping the first single from Yung We$t's All or Nothing EP, “Bang Out”.  The single has appeared on the iTunes “New Hip-Hop Releases” page the week of June 10th, 2014 and so far has had over 20,000 plays on the net as of August 1st.  With a recent feature on the popular website HotNewHipHop.com and a new video for the single set to debut on YouTube it's clear the momentum is building.

Omar Cruz, label president and recording artist, was featured over the Summer along with Yung We$t on “Wouldn't Be L.A.”, the lead single by west coast legend Kams' latest project, Mutual Respect.

Both Yung We$t and Omar Cruz have been added to Pandora Radio over the summer, as well.

There is plenty in store this Fall for the label too.  Yung We$t's second single “#1000”, from the All or Nothing EP, has a September 30th release date set.  The song is produced by Jay Musik.  The EP will feature some surprise special guests.  Anticipation, according to the label, is very high.  Omar Cruz also has new music set to drop any day.

Fans can't stop talking about LAB Records releases, especially Yung We$t's latest.

A recent review on iTunes remarked, “Definitely the type of music I've been waiting to hear. I see the hard work paying off. All or nothing!”
