Since 1996 Jacque Lacey, A.K.A. Unkle Fun, has prominently been a part of the local Bay Area music scene. By 1998 Unkle Fun had prolifically booked over 200 shows throughout the Bay Area, West Coast, and even to the Rockies. He has provided booking and promotions for countless Bay Area bands, ranging from the local legends Missing Link (Punk/Ska) to Bammie Award Winning Critical Mass (Ska) and Jungle Bisket & Dogslyde (Jazz). In the years since, Unkle Fun has focused his passion and energy within the vibrant Hip Hop and Reggae music scenes. Recent performances have included popular local groups such as Lyrics Born, The Coup, Chocolate O’Brian, and Rocker-T, as well as international stars such as Barrington Levy, Eek-a-Mouse, Don Carlos, Fishbone and KRS-One.
Possessing a DIY code of ethics, Unkle Fun Presents wears many hats. Unkle Fun personally has demonstrated success in all aspects of his professional performance, from conception of shows to execution of flyer design, publicity, campaigning and promotions. Unkle Fun Presents also lends its hand to graphic design, promotions, booking and stage management for several non-profit and city organizations, including the Laurel District of Oakland and Epic Arts of Berkeley to name a few. He has proudly produced ground breaking and historic concerts in Reggae, Hip Hop and Rock for the entire Bay Area.
