Indie film distributor Gravitas Ventures has secured US and Canadian rights to the feature, directed by Martin O’Brien. The film documents the early 1990s rave culture, spotlighting key figures like Brian Behlendorf, DJ Harvey, DJ Dan and DJ Doc Martin.
Between The Beats explores the DIY ethos and psychedelic spirit that defined the scene, highlighting how all-night electronic music parties attracted diverse crowds and served as catalysts for many participants who would later become influential figures in Silicon Valley, the global dance music industry and activism.
