ESPN has unveiled the first glimpses of their upcoming 10-part Michael Jordan documentary, The Last Dance.
A new trailer for the latest 30 For 30 treatment arrived this week, featuring interviews with Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Steve Kerr, Dennis Rodman, and more. According to an early synopsis, the documentary intimately chronicles Jordan’s final championship season with the legendary 1990s Chicago Bulls — who won 6 chips in 8 years — and the fraying aftermath of that historic run.
Sadly, the biggest reveal is that we’ll have to wait until 2020 to actually see it, pushed back from its original 2019 release. The Last Dance follows four 2018 features, The Two Bills, The Last Days of Knight, Seau, and their most recent installment, 42 to 1, which examines Buster Douglass’ streak-ending KO of Mike Tyson at the Tokyo Dome in 1990.
