Tragic Loss: Angie Stone Killed in Car Crash, Criminal Investigation Underway
On March 1, 2025, the music world was rocked by the tragic news that neo-soul icon Angie Stone was killed in a fatal car crash on a highway in Alabama. The Grammy-nominated singer, known for her soulful voice and timeless hits, reportedly traveled in a passenger van when the accident occurred.

According to veteran journalist Dennis Byron, the driver involved—who was not Stone’s regular chauffeur—may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
