With the 2022 Spotify Wrapped just days away from being unveiled, third-party app Instafest is the newest trend in music. On the website, Spotify users can create their dream festival lineup using their most listened-to artists on Spotify.
On Instafest, users are asked to sign into their Spotify account and allow the app to have access to their listening history. One allowed, the Instafest will be created and shown, displaying the user’s top 36 most-played artists on Spotify for the imaginary three-day festival (made in the likeness of Coachella lineups). Once created, users can select the time period that their top artists are chosen from, whether the past four weeks, six months or all-time.
Users flocked to Twitter to share their Instafest lineups, some which “included” acts like The Weeknd, Drake, Wizkid and more.
