SamG Drops New Hit Single “Young Tae” (Prod. by Mosberg Banga)

Sam-G is an emerging hip-hop recording artist from West Philly, recognized for his gritty, authentic sound and street-rooted storytelling that reflects the realities of his neighborhood and life experiences. His music sits in the tradition of Philly rap that’s raw, unfiltered, and deeply personal, with lyrics often focusing on themes of struggle, resilience, survival and pride in where he comes from.

He’s built his reputation largely independently, favoring creative control over corporate label deals, and promoting his work through local shows, underground outlets, and grassroots buzz in the city’s hip-hop community.

Sam-G’s lyricism and flow are shaped by lived experience, giving his tracks a sense of authenticity that resonates with fans both in Philly and around the broader tri-state area. His ability to turn real life into real rap has been called his defining strength, setting him apart from more trend-driven artists.

He’s also known for notable collaborations, including the single “You Tonight” featuring fellow West Philly artist Mosberg Banga, showcasing versatility alongside his gritty narrative style.

Sam-G’s presence is still growing, and he’s considered one of West Philly’s authentic voices and rising talents in the hip-hop scene, with his momentum building as he releases new music and visuals.

Look out for Sam-G’ 1st studio solo album “Streams and Sales” dropping soon and new video “Young Tae” out now. Be sure to check out his new singles “Power Moves” produced by Preme Secret Sounds, “Baby You Tonight”, produced by Brian Collins. “Streams and Sales” is mixed and mastered by Scott Herzog for Third Story Recording.
