Outrageous: Man Whose Dog Was Shot by Police Becomes Police Target

A California man embroiled in a dispute with police who shot his Rottweiler may face up to five years in prison for intimidating a witness.

The woman’s video displays a longer version of the encounter that Rosby had with the officers before the dog was shot.  The initial incident received widespread attention in June, after a video showing Hawthorn police shooting Rosby’s dog was posted online, prompting massive protests and leading to a number of complaints against police brutality.

Rosby had previously claimed that he had been harassed by police for years prior to the incident.  His attorney, Mark Geragos told KTLA that the video clearly shows that the police killed the animal for absolutely no reason:

“That’s precisely why the cops now are scrambling to try to get him convicted, get him into custody and do anything else in order to try and turn the spotlight away from their actions."

After the video was released, police claim Rosby allegedly confronted the witness and verbally abused her and her son.  If convicted, Rosby may face up to five years imprisonment.
