Following DJ Precision’s technical display, Funk Flex invites DJ Ace to take part in his “5 Minutes Of Funk” turntable series.
Ace, née Acu Rhodes, came to prominence as the police officer when a 2014 video of him showing off while in uniform went viral. He also shows off his skill routinely on his social media page. No, that was not a typo: Rhodes, a detail lieutenant of Brooklyn’s 78th Precinct and 18-year veteran of the NYPD, is an accomplished turntablist, having spun at the Barclays Center and throughout the city for years. And he shows all the way out during his near-10 minute session for Flex.
