New Artists from San Francisco - Bay Area hip-hop dripping with soul like you've never heard

Formed nearly a year and a half ago, Glitterface is the brainchild of Torin and Ferris Martinez, two brothers native to San Francisco. Though they handle the principal songwriting, when playing live their group transforms from a duo to a four (sometimes five) piece live band, each member a classically trained musician or vocalist. Inspired by the styles of 70s soul slow-jams, psychedelic R&B, and hip-hop, their sound is at once intimate and mellow, with hazy, jazz-tinged beats carried along by the sultry vocal harmonies of the two brothers.
So yeah, that's a synopsis of sorts, as far as our sound is concerned. As far as our shows, we always strive to draw the audience in, to subsume them, to get to that point where the crowd goes silent and just listens, eyes wide and to the stage. In short, we're here to create a sonic soul experience.
Our reason for submitting our music to True Skool is twofold; one, we want to gain exposure (of course) and but - and perhaps more importantly - we want to get feedback, of any kind, even if its negative. We're trying to something new and unexpected as far as music coming out of the Bay is concerned, and we're down to hear any opinions of any kind, honest.
Best, Glitterface
