This month, Nas and producer Hit-Boy released King’s Disease III. The Mass Appeal Records album finds the MC and producer alone, showing new range and depth within one of Hip-Hop’s most respected catalogs. In one song, the Queens, New York-inspired “Thun,” Nas quips, “No beef or rivals, they playin’ ‘Ether’ on Tidal / Brothers can do anythin’ when they decide to / In a Range Rover, dissectin’ bars from ‘Takeover’ / Sometimes I text Hova like ‘Ni**a, this ain’t over.‘”

Even though he says he no longer perceives Jay as a rival, Nas has now achieved a milestone that ties him with his former foe-turned-collaborator. A week and a half after KD3‘s release (which was reviewed by Ambrosia For Heads‘ What’s The Headline podcast below), Nas has joined Jay in some rare air surrounding Rap albums on the charts.

HipHopDX reports that King’s Disease III marks Nas’ 16th Top 10 album on the charts. That feat ties JAY-Z as the only Hip-Hop artist to reach 16. In third place, Drake recently reached 12 consecutive appearances with his 21 Savage collaborative LP, Her Loss. Eminem is also a contender in this category, with 10 solo albums and additional compilations.

Sparoh’s “Panama” Delivers a Powerful Message of Confidence and Creative Freedom

Sparoh is an Atlanta-based artist creating music at the crossroads of melodic trap, alternative pop, and punk-fueled rebellion. Equal parts vulnerable and unapologetic, her work explores identity, liberation, and the complexities of Black womanhood.Raised in the DMV on a foundation of jazz, funk, and blues, Sparoh was drawn early to artists who challenged convention and redefined what was possible.
