One of rapper Lil Dicky’s trademarks is his fantastic music videos. Even as an independent artist, the Greater Philadelphia MC uses elaborate concept, self-deprecation, and some applicable life wisdom to complement his fast rapping and witty wordplay. If “Freaky Friday” or “Save Dat Money” didn’t give fans enough insight into Lil Dicky’s life and style of Comedy Rap, it’s about to be laid out, in detail, for them. Variety reports that Dicky – born Dave Burd – is slated to star in a piloted comedy series on FX Network. It’ll also be executive produced by him, alongside Kevin Hart, Scooter Braun, manager Mike Hertz, and others.
The series will supposedly revolve around “a suburban neurotic man in his late twenties who has convinced himself that he’s destined to be one of the best rappers of all time,” but really, it’s Dicky’s actual life story that will create the main inspiration for the program. He posted on Instagram that the pilot is something he’s waited his whole life to do.
