Killer Mike and El-P return in the second installment of their interview with The Combat Jack Show. This portion of their in-depth chat features a scathing tag-team critique of major radio programming and DJs lead by El-P, who goes all the way in. His argument against the smoke and mirrors of major radio and the attempts of some radio personalities to separate rappers into castes is bolstered by Killer Mike, who puts the nail in the coffin with his reinterpretation of the major radio format; a platform fiercely dedicated to its preprogrammed allegiance to a handful of songs from the same artists, played on a 24-hour cycle with little to no diversity or deviation. They argue in favor of giving the radio back to the DJs and evolving to accomodate a more mature audience of hip-hop connoisseurs. Keeping it simple, El-P and Killer Mike shut it down.
