While much attention has been focused on the unspoken competition between Kendrick Lamar and Drake in the quest for 2017’s biggest album, both Logic and Joey Bada$$ released 2 of the finest LPs of the year. Each featured heady concepts, strong lyricism and beats made for the body and the mind. Fittingly, the two like-minded MCs decided to take their shows on the road together.
This week, both Logic and Joey enjoyed a moment that was not for the critics, sales or fans, but strictly for themselves. While both are about the art and the business, at their core, they still do it for the love. That was on full display, as they sat on their tour bus after the show and sparked up an impromptu freestyle cypher.
