Kool Keith, Inspectah Deck and Headkrack come together on "Black Men (unarmed) to let their voices be heard on very pressing issues in American society today: The excessive force practiced by police officers that has resulted in the deaths of several African-American males. The three MCs question whether America is really, as sung in the chorus, “The Land of Freedom”, while encouraging listeners to examine the facts behind these fatal incidents and embark on a quest for justice:
"We just used the pen to express our feelings about the police brutality against Blacks that go way before there was color TVs. You would think cops would chill now that cameras are everywhere, but it's like they're auditioning for 'NYPD Blue' or 'New York Undercover.' They don't give a fuck. Shit gotta stop." - Kool Keith
