Eminem and his hometown of Detroit are the subjects of a new virtual reality documentary titled Marshall From Detroit. Ahead of its premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, creators Felix & Paul Studios have released a trailer for the film.
The brief clip gives viewers a taste of the unique documentary, which features Eminem having a conversation with Sway Calloway while riding around Detroit. The teaser even allows fans to utilize a 360-degree view and see different angles from in and outside of the vehicle.
“Our idea was to extend the blanket of intimacy offered by VR beyond the once-in-a-lifetime ride with Marshall and introduce you to a more mystic version of Detroit you could never see for yourself,” director Caleb Slain told Variety. “We wanted to take the ‘reality’ out of VR and cook it down into something more unreal, but also truthful.”
