Speaking to Rolling Stone, Drake slammed Macklemore for sending Kendrick Lamar an apology text after stealing winning a bunch of awards in all of the Rap categories, calling the move “wack as fuck”.

“I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better — make better music,’” he tells us. “It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?”

He went on to say that while he understands why Macklemore won so many awards, if the Seattle MC really felt so bad about it, he should’ve sent texts to Drake, Jay-Z, Kanye and all of the other nominees that he beat out.
