In 2020 Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, and, — occasionally — 9th Wonder joined forces to craft the crew Dinner Party, dropping a pair of incredible peak-pandemic albums. Now, ahead of their performance at the 2023 Coachella Festival (and several high-profile concerts including New York’s Terminal 5), they return with an “Insane” first track of the year.
Produced by Sounwave (TDE, Beyoncé, FKA twigs), Ant Clemons joins the troupe on a re-envisioned version of the classic Mtume song “Juicy Fruit.” “Insane” appears to be the first of many offerings from Dinner Party coming throughout the year, which the DopeHouse is always here for.
